The Fiat Topolino Becomes Mickey

Fiat pays tribute to the 100th anniversary of Disney Studios with five unique Fiat Topolino models, inspired by Mickey Mouse.
Topolino is originally the Italian name of the famous mouse and later became the nickname given in the 1930s by Italians themselves to the iconic first Fiat 500. Today, it’s the name of the brand’s new electric quadricycle.
The presentation of the five cars took place at Casa 500, on the fourth floor of the prestigious “Agnelli Pantheon”, a site dedicated to art, where attendees could travel through time on the occasion of Disney Studios’ 100th anniversary, Mickey Mouse’s 95th birthday, and the centenary of Lingotto. These five Fiat Topolino, each one unique, represent a journey through time and art: from the 1930s of their origin to today. The goal was to create something iconic that could bring together two stars

Inspired by Disney creators, the FIAT Centro Stile gave four Fiat Topolino a second skin that allows them to express all facets of the other “Topolino”.
The story begins with the theme “historical”, which the small Fiat Topolino pays homage to. This theme is literally inspired by the graphics of Disney’s first short film “Steamboat Willie”, acclaimed by the public, which not only brought revolutionary innovation to the animation world with synchronized sound but was also immortalized by an exhibition at the MoMA in New York in 2019.

The Fiat Topolino inspired by the “modern” art style incorporates a texture, like a second skin, featuring Mickey Mouse’s initials. This aims to evoke a sense of positive energy, celebrating a shared vision toward the future—bright, colorful, and optimistic. Both brands have gained icon status in modern art and culture.

The “abstract” livery is a tribute to another creative trait of Disney studios and to how classic stylistic codes are reinterpreted through graphic touches and abstract symbols. It creates a strong visual impact as well as a feeling of elegance.

The “street” version features a livery made of graffiti, still in homage to Mickey Mouse, with a stimulating and playful urban touch.

The fifth one, created in collaboration with Disney artist Giorgio Cavazzano, was designed exclusively with his input.
