The Citroën ë-C3’s range is a pleasant surprise!

Citroën can be proud of its small ë-C3 when you know that range is a major criterion for choosing an electric car.

On March 12th, we published an article titled “Range Drops for the Citroën ë-C3” to highlight the reduction in range announced by Citroën on its website, screenshot to support. Indeed, during the presentation of the Citroën ë-C3, which we attended, the range was announced at 320 km while Citroën’s website listed 300. You might say only a journalist would fuss over 20 km, and you’d be right! But that represents more than 6% of the total range, and we have to do our job.

Citroën immediately confirmed that this was only a precautionary measure pending homologation. Everything has been put in order, and the small French electric car has indeed regained its 320 km of range, even 324 according to the brand’s website.

Once again, we can only commend Citroën’s approach. We are used to seeing manufacturers announce ranges inflated by 10, 20, sometimes 30% because “subject to homologation”. Citroën has taken the opposite approach, and that is to its credit.

Moreover, we reiterate what we have been stating since the presentation of the ë-C3. 300 km of range is more than enough for a car like the Citroën ë-C3! 324 km is just better.
