Renault achieves a double victory thanks to the Master!

The new Renault Master has been named Van of the Year 2025 just weeks after the “Car” title won by the Scenic.

The new Renault Master won the title of “Van of the Year 2025” at the “International Van Of The Year” (IVOTY) ceremony. The Diamond utility vehicle was unanimously elected by a jury of experts representing 25 European countries.

The new Master is the fifth vehicle from the French brand to receive the prestigious distinction after the Renault Master II (1998), Renault Trafic II (2002), Kangoo Z.E (2012), and Kangoo Van III (2022). Following the Renault Scenic E-Tech 100% electric named Car of the Year last February, Renault achieves a remarkable double win for car and van. Interestingly, the last time the Diamond brand won both awards in the same year was back in 1998, 27 years ago, with… Renault Scenic I and Master II. This sparks an eagerness for the future for these two models.

Efficient and Versatile

More than just an evolution of the previous generation, this 2024 Master is a truly new model. A significant amount of work has been done on aerodynamics with a short hood, an advanced and inclined windshield, air passage guides in the bumper, and a narrowed rear section. This results in a 20% reduction in consumption compared to the current Master and improved acoustic comfort.

Its strong point, of course, lies in its new multi-energy Renault platform capable of meeting all needs and thus expanding the model’s market reach. The catalog includes the efficient Blue dCi Diesel engines ranging from 105 to 170 hp and next-generation electric drivetrains. Two powertrain options of 96 or 105 kW are available, with a respective battery capacity of 40 kWh (180 km WLTP range) and 87 kWh (over 410 km WLTP range). A hydrogen H2-Tech version is also in the works with a record range of 700 km!
