The Opel Grandland, cousin of the Peugeot 3008, reveals its prices

Opel Grandland

The large Opel SUV is now available in hybrid and 100% electric versions at quite attractive prices.

To differentiate itself from its French cousin, the new Opel Grandland features many characteristics initially seen on the Opel Experimental concept car. Of course, it includes the 3D strip with the illuminated Blitz logo, which is the signature marker of the new Opel models. It is built on the new STLA Medium platform, specific to hybrid and 100% electric models of the Stellantis alliance.

The interior layout emphasizes horizontality, with lines stretching across the dashboard to the doors. The 16-inch central screen, slightly angled towards the driver, and the high center console create a greater sense of space compared to the Peugeot. As for the trunk, it’s not just an impression, as the Opel’s trunk is slightly larger than the French one. Behind the wheel, a wide and classic digital display provides essential information and is supplemented by a head-up display. In line with Opel’s tradition, frequently used settings, such as air conditioning, can also be intuitively controlled via physical buttons.

The pricing for the Grandland starts at a neat 37,000 euros for the mild hybrid petrol version with 136 horsepower. That’s 1,490 euros less than the identically equipped 3008, which is a good deal. In the 100% electric version with 213 horsepower and a 73 kWh battery for 523 km of range in WLTP cycle, it costs 38,490 euros after deducting the Environmental Bonus. However, the most interesting version is undoubtedly the one equipped with an 82.2 kWh battery and offers 585 km of range. A small plus that costs only 1,000 euros! To avoid disrupting the customer base too much, no long-range version is yet in the catalog, but once the E-3008 is well established, there’s a strong chance of seeing it arrive on the Grandland.
