The NaïTup roof tent makes its debut at Decathlon

The Alès-based company NaïtUp has been selected by Decathlon to include its Outdoor catalog with an exclusive product.
Founded in 2007, NaïtUp designs and manufactures eco-friendly roof tents in Alès. This partnership is a boon for the company, which was already distributed on the Decathlon website but now features in the official catalog. An achievement because the world’s leading sporting goods retailer rarely co-signs products. At stake is a new product with the new Quechua x NaïtUp rigid roof tent. This model combines Quechua’s patented Fresh & Black technology, designed to provide coolness and darkness, with NaïtUp’s ingenious NuFix mounting system, which simplifies installation on roof bars. Developed over four years with numerous prototypes, this tent is designed for two people.
With a 5 cm thick mattress and optimized dimensions of 125 cm wide by 215 cm long, it guarantees comfortable nights. When closed, its compact shell of 22 cm height is more aerodynamic than many similar models, reducing wind resistance and vehicle consumption. However, it is not lightweight—53 kg on the scale—and requires some effort to lift during installation. Therefore, assistance from a few good friends will be needed to set it up or take it down, but this is standard for roof tents. True to Quechua’s DNA, the highlight of this model is its quick-opening system, which takes just seconds to install or fold down.

In terms of positioning, NaïtUp is known for its premium models, ranging from 2,490 euros for the two-person Hussarde to 3,750 euros for the family version. For Quechua, the Decathlon brand, tents are more affordable at less than 1,500 euros. A compromise was needed, and with a price of 2,500 euros, this new tent sits at the midpoint between the two worlds. It will be available exclusively on Decathlon.fr starting December 2024, expanding the sporting goods retailer’s offerings.

This partnership demonstrates how two brands, each expert in their own field, can combine their strengths to meet the needs of adventure enthusiasts, blending practicality, comfort, and modern design. And it’s a well-deserved acknowledgment for the brave Alès manufacturer!
