PLIYT, the reimagined autonomous luxury transport

The PLIYT concept outlines a new vision for autonomous mobility, blending comfort with the promise of controlled costs.

The CES in Las Vegas remains a must-see showcase for technological innovations, and the 2026 edition did not disappoint. Among the concepts that caught attention in the mobility sector, PLIYT stood out with a unique approach: offering a premium, personalized, and shared autonomous transportation experience, without the usual compromises of carpooling.

Behind this acronym, which stands for Personal Luxury In Your Travel, PLIYT aims to reconcile two concepts that have long been opposed: individual comfort and collective efficiency. The concept relies on autonomous vehicles that integrate several independent cabins, each designed as a private cocoon. Acoustic insulation, customizable ambiance, high-end seating: everything is designed to provide a level of comfort close to that of a personal vehicle, all while fitting into a shared fleet logic.

Better and cheaper?

Unlike traditional robotaxis, often perceived as impersonal, PLIYT focuses on user experience. Each passenger retains their privacy, even when the vehicle transports multiple people to different destinations. This approach aims to address one of the main barriers to adopting shared mobility in urban areas: the loss of comfort and tranquility.

Economically, PLIYT makes an ambitious promise: trips up to 40% cheaper than traditional VTC services, thanks to optimized routes and the complete autonomy of the vehicles. The startup behind the project aims for pilot deployments by 2028, pending regulatory approvals.
