Trottinette Pininfarina

With the help of Platum, Pininfarina has developed its first electric scooter, which will be launched around April.

We often associate the Pininfarina signature with beautiful Italian sports cars equipped with powerful engines. However, it is not the first name that comes to mind when talking about soft mobility.

Nevertheless, the transalpine studio has just unveiled an electric scooter. The KPF Argento — that’s its name — was developed with the help of Platum, an Italian company specializing in urban mobility solutions.

3 riding modes

The KPF Argento offers an autonomy of approximately 40 km and can reach 25 km/h in Sport mode. In Eco mode, the maximum speed drops to 6 km/h, while the intermediate mode allows riding at 20 km/h.

The platform of this scooter measures 83.5 cm. The structure is made of aluminum, and the small 20 cm wheels are connected to hidden suspensions. The instrument panel on the handlebar indicates speed, battery level, and distance traveled.

Introducing a Pininfarina novelty without mentioning the design is hardly conceivable. But what is easy for a Ferrari is necessarily less so for such a device. However, the shape of the fender and the integration of the light underneath show that the aesthetic aspect was not overlooked. Small touches of turquoise blue reinforce this conclusion.

A Pininfarina scooter soon to be marketed

The KPF Argento will arrive on the market in April, at a price of €599. This scooter marks the beginning of a new adventure for Pininfarina, which plans to expand its range of small electric urban vehicles. A first bicycle will also be marketed later in 2022.

A few months ago, it was Bugatti that unveiled an electric scooter. Its model can travel at 30 km/h and has electronic ABS on the rear wheel. The Molsheim firm intends to commercialize it but has not yet announced any pricing.
