Tesla’s Robotaxi will be visible in Paris!

The Robotaxi will be showcased from November 23 to December 8, 2024, at the Tesla Store in Paris-Madeleine and in other European capitals

After the Cybertruck, it’s Tesla’s Robotaxi that will make an appearance on the Old Continent. It was first seen around Los Angeles in October. Soon, this autonomous vehicle will be unveiled to the general public on the other side of the Atlantic.

The Robotaxi touring across Europe!

London, Berlin, Paris, Stockholm, Amsterdam, and Oslo. These cities will have the “honor” of hosting Tesla’s Robotaxi during a tour that could attract quite a bit of attention. Don’t get too excited just yet; the vehicle will not be leaving the Tesla Store. The same applies to other major European capitals. It will first be displayed for two weeks in France, the UK, and Germany. Then, during the following two weeks, in Scandinavian countries as well as the Netherlands.

Tesla recalls in a statement their vision of the Robotaxi, which the company also calls Cybercab: “The Cybercab is a two-seater vehicle, without a steering wheel or pedals, accessible to everyone via the Tesla app. The Cybercab will allow quick and safe booking of autonomous trips, providing a convenient and affordable transport means that can also carry all necessary belongings in its large trunk.”

When will we see them in action in France?

In France, it’s hard to say when these vehicles will be allowed to operate. It might never happen at all. Regulations on autonomous vehicles are quite different from those in the United States. Over there, Waymo and Zoox are already operating electric vehicles without a driver in San Francisco and Las Vegas. Meanwhile, Tesla’s statement specifies that “people living in Europe are invited to visit selected Tesla centers before the end of the year to discover the Cybercab and learn more about the future of autonomy.”
