A Mad Max Scrambler at Ducati

Ducati unveiled at the London Bike Shed MotoShow 2024 a bold concept based on the technical foundation of the second-generation Scrambler.

The Ducati RR24I immediately references the aesthetic standards of the post-apocalyptic saga. This motorcycle takes the enthusiast back to the fundamental roots of motorcycling: two wheels, a tank, an engine, and a handlebars. Nothing superfluous compared to the purest emotions of riding, to fully experience that feeling of freedom which has always been central to the Ducati Scrambler concept.

All aluminum parts are highlighted, technical and functional details are left visible to add authenticity to a concept that focuses entirely on materials that stand out visually and by touch. The tank is stripped of its covers and replaced by a frame that allows mounting a tank bag for essentials, whether it’s spare clothes or tools. The passenger seat area is removable to create a luggage rack, another detail emphasizing the adventurous and essential spirit of the concept.

Ducati dares the stripping down

At the back, the box on the left side recalls upcycling operations on empty jerry cans, and the high-position Termignoni exhaust accentuates the tracker look of this concept, complemented by Pirelli Scorpion Rally tires on 18″ and 17″ rims respectively at the front and rear. Paired with the tall, short front fender, they promise to handle any terrain.
