modèle: BYD Dolphin

The BYD Dolphin, launched in 2021, is a compact electric car that is part of BYD’s ‘Ocean’ electric range, intended for sale in Europe. It was first presented in April 2021 at the Shanghai auto show, with a pre-production prototype. Three months later, the production model BYD Dolphin was unveiled, largely adopting the appearance of the prototype. Designed by Wolfgang Egger, head of BYD’s design team, the Dolphin was the first model to feature the brand’s new logo.

The Dolphin is equipped with a permanent magnet electric motor installed on the front axle, available in three power outputs: 70 kW, 130 kW, or 150 kW. It also features a Blade LFP battery with a capacity of 60.4 kWh, providing a range of 427 km. Features such as bi-directional charging and an integrated 11 kW charger are included. The Dolphin was preceded by the BYD EA1 Concept car, which introduced Blade battery technology.
