To enhance employee micro-mobility, Lucy Mobility offers its scooter solution with charging stations at companies.

67% of employees would be dissatisfied with public transport options for commuting to work. Additionally, half of urban trips are less than 3 kilometers, while a Parisian loses an average of 43 minutes daily in traffic jams. Based on these observations, Lucy Mobility has created a new mobility offer.

A French idea in scooters

This French company, founded in 2019, is the work of Nicolas Franco and Léo Avdyli, located in Montrouge (Hauts-de-Seine). Halfway between free-floating rental and personal ownership, it gives employees the opportunity to travel using an electric scooter whenever needed.

Its two main goals are more precisely to “facilitate intra-site travel, or offer employees a chance to adopt a greener, trendy mode of transportation.”

Two stations and two scooter models from Lucy Mobility

Within companies, Lucy Mobility provides scooter stations called kiosks. Lucy has designed two versions: a wall-mounted “Accueil” station, about the size of a large cabinet holding 5 scooters, and a circular “Cafet’” for open spaces. These stations are used to store scooters and also to recharge them for the next user.

The stations hold 5 scooters, which employees can borrow at any time.

Each employee has access to an app where they can check available scooters, their battery level, and range. They can then reserve one 5 minutes in advance if they wish or unlock a scooter directly.

Regarding electric scooters, Lucy Mobility offers two models. The first is the Lucy Lite (on the left in the photo), a lightweight, easily foldable version, and the Lucy with larger wheels for greater comfort. They can also be customized with the company’s colors, a plus for businesses wanting to promote their brand.

The cost of these stations? About 130 euros per month per scooter, totaling 650 euros monthly for a Lucy Mobility station. Is it expensive? Hard to quantify, as trips are not always regular, and scooters do not fully replace other modes of transport.

But for sure, it’s a way to encourage employees to choose a less stressful and city-friendly solution.
