This Alpine Hy4 runs on hydrogen

Hy4, the first rolling version of the Alpine Alpenglow prototype, is showcased this weekend within the Spa-Francorchamps circuit grounds.

Alpine Alpenglow Hy4 is no longer just a concept car, but a true rolling demonstrator designed like a racing car with its carbon monocoque and a 4-cylinder 2.0-liter turbocharged engine developing 340 hp. A first step before the arrival of a completely new V6 engine specifically designed to run on hydrogen, fully developed by Alpine. It will be unveiled aboard a second rolling version that will be presented before the end of the year.

The beautiful racing car will make its first public laps on Saturday, May 11, 2024, ahead of the 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps race attended by over 70,000 spectators. This is a perfect opportunity to demonstrate to motorsport enthusiasts how an internal combustion engine powered by hydrogen preserves the sounds and vibrations that constitute the emotional aspects of a race car.
