MissionH24 ACO Hydrogen

In Aix-en-Provence, Ensosp and MissionH24 offer practical training to master hydrogen safety.

This initiative around hydrogen, supported by the Automobile Club de l’Ouest (ACO) and the H24Project, targets a wide audience, from industrial companies to civil security actors.

On April 1st, over fifty participants took part in a discovery day at the National School of Firefighters Officers (Ensosp). At the heart of the setup: a Multi-Energy Hydrogen platform designed for real-world training. The demonstrations allowed attendees to observe the behaviors of various energy vectors, including propane, natural gas, and hydrogen, as well as the intervention methods used by firefighters.

The pedagogical approach is based on several key principles, including anticipation, risk analysis, understanding physical phenomena, and organizing assistance. Ensosp has been working on these topics for over a decade, particularly within the framework of European programs dedicated to new energies.

In the Race for Hydrogen

The collaboration with MissionH24, formalized during the National Firefighters Congress last October at the Bugatti circuit in Le Mans, aims to pool expertise from motorsport and civil security. Engaged in developing hydrogen competition prototypes, the program provides operational feedback, particularly in connection with departmental fire and rescue services.

The training offered is divided into three modules – “awareness,” “expertise,” and “operational” – incorporating practical workshops. They aim to support organizations wishing to better understand the issues related to hydrogen, whether it is prevention, risk management, or intervention.
