MissionH24 strengthens its hydrogen project with AVL and PURFLUX GROUP
The MissionH24 program welcomes two major new industrial partners: AVL RACETECH and PURFLUX GROUP.
MissionH24, jointly supported by the Automobile Club de l’Ouest (ACO) and H24 Project, is taking a new structural step in its ambition to demonstrate the viability of hydrogen in motorsport. During the Hyvolution Paris show on January 27, 2026, two leading industrial players officially announced their commitment to the project: AVL RACETECH, a global specialist in automotive engineering and motorsport, and PURFLUX GROUP, a recognized expert in filtration systems.

Designed as a true technological laboratory dedicated to hydrogen motorsport and the decarbonization of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, MissionH24 aims to create, by 2028, a zero CO2 emission category dedicated to hydrogen prototypes for the classic race and the FIA World Endurance Championship. In this perspective, the development of the H24EVO prototype is a central focus, directly strengthened by the arrival of these two new partners.
Mission Le Mans
AVL RACETECH joins MissionH24 as a key technical partner. With a presence in 17 high-level championships worldwide, the Austrian equipment manufacturer offers its expertise in advanced simulation through the AVL VSM RACE platform. This environment allows for precise modeling of interactions between the vehicle, the hydrogen powertrain, and energy management, using Software-in-the-Loop and Hardware-in-the-Loop tools. A crucial approach to optimize the H24EVO’s performance and reliability before real-world testing. The partnership is established for a duration of three years.
Another strategic reinforcement, PURFLUX GROUP brings its historical expertise in filtration and flow management. The French group will develop and produce at its facility in Vire, Normandy, a filtration system specific to the H24EVO. This device, essential for supplying compressors and cooling the fuel cell, integrates cutting-edge technologies that meet the extreme demands of Endurance.
