A prototype of the 24 Hours of Le Mans on the highway!

The hydrogen electric prototype H24 drove today on the highway connecting Paris to Le Mans. A unique experience!

After opening the GP Explorer in September 2023, an annual car competition reserved for influencers, the hydrogen H24 prototype delivered the golden ball to Lionel Messi at the last ceremony at the Théâtre du Châtelet a month later. To kick off the year 2024, it enjoyed a pleasant trip on the highway between Paris and Le Mans.

After a symbolic departure from Place de la Concorde, in front of the Automobile Club of France, another reference in the history of motorsports, the H24 headed towards the A11 highway. The race car even passed through the Saint-Arnoult-en-Yvelines toll booth, well-known to drivers. The H24, driven by Stéphane Richelmi, was accompanied on this adventure by a support vehicle, also using hydrogen, provided by its partner Symbio.

This non-regulatory driving operation took place thanks to the support of Vinci Autoroutes, the Prefecture of Sarthe, the Prefecture of Yvelines, and security forces to ensure the smooth running of the operation and the protection of all users. It is certain that these last drivers must have been surprised to see such a car on the road. This friendly demonstration of hydrogen zero-emission competition on the road showcases the contribution of Endurance, the 24 Hours of Le Mans, as well as many actors including MissionH24 to global mobility.
