Ultra-fast chargers from Ford

Hundreds of Ford dealerships in Europe will welcome Allego ultra-fast charging stations.

Ford and Allego, one of the leading providers of fast and ultra-fast charging for electric vehicles, announced today a strategic partnership aimed at providing ultra-fast charging infrastructure to hundreds of Ford dealerships in Europe. This gesture towards the automaker’s customers deserves recognition, but it is, of course, not without its motives. The stations, which will be accessible to everyone regardless of vehicle brand, are a perfect bait for customers.

But let’s set aside any negativity. This development naturally fits into Ford’s electrification strategy, which aims to make its European lineup 100% electric by 2035. The new Ford Explorer, which has been available for orders since March 26, 2024, is Ford’s first 100% electric passenger vehicle designed and built in Europe. It will soon be followed by other models.

Ford thinks of everyone

Access to high-power stations, capable of delivering up to 400 kW, will primarily be a strong selling point when convincing a customer to switch to electric. Nothing beats a live demonstration of the charging speed of a vehicle to reassure a potential buyer. The Allego ultra-fast charging stations located within the Ford dealership network will be accessible 24/7 and usable by all compatible vehicles, regardless of brand. Ford customers will, of course, benefit from preferential rates. They will have simplified access to these stations with their FordPass card, the FordPass app, or directly via Plug & Charge. For other users, a credit card will be required.
