TotalEnergies

TotalEnergies has exceeded 1,000 high-power charging stations (HPC) installed across France.

On the occasion of inaugurating TotalEnergies’ 5th 100% electric station in France (Lyon, Relais Garibaldi), Patrick Pouyanné, Chairman and CEO of the Company, announced that TotalEnergies had surpassed the milestone of 1,000 high-power charging stations (HPC) installed across France. This significant milestone makes TotalEnergies the leading provider of ultra-fast charging on highways and fast lanes for electric mobility in France.

An independent recent study confirmed this leadership of the energy giant: The French charging network passes the test

As part of its strategy to deploy high-power charging stations, TotalEnergies has already equipped more than 180 stations in France, aiming for 500 by 2026, which include:

  • 200 stations on the national road network (motorways and ring roads);
  • 300 stations in cities, suburban and transit zones (airports, train stations, tourist areas), one-third of which will be 100% electric sites, following the same model as the Lyon station inaugurated today after Paris-La Défense, Metz, Courbevoie, and Rouen.

High-power or ultra-fast charging is a technology that allows compatible electric vehicles to charge at a power greater than 50 kW, up to 300 kW. Depending on the vehicle type, such power allows for 100 kilometers of range in about 6 minutes and charging 80% of the battery in roughly 20 minutes.

In addition to these stations, TotalEnergies operates nearly 18,000 charging points in France (local authorities, corporate fleets, home charging stations for individuals, public charging stations in streets and parking lots).
