TotalEnergies Opens Paris’s First 100% Electric Station

This is not a revolution, but a significant step forward with this 100% electric Parisian gas station inaugurated by TotalEnergies

TotalEnergies has taken a major step by opening the first 100% electric gas station in Paris, as part of the innovative urban project “17&CO” at Porte de Saint-Ouen. Located near the périphérique on avenue de la Porte de Saint-Ouen in the 17th arrondissement, this station offers 8 ultra-fast charging stations delivering up to 300 kW, enabling charging in less than 30 minutes for most vehicles.

But will Parisians stop half an hour at this station to recharge to 100%? Certainly not, or only a minority who are not yet fully familiar with the concept of electric mobility. This model is perfectly suited to the urban context, where fast recharges and short pauses make perfect sense. Unlike long-distance needs, the goal here is to provide efficient quick top-ups while offering a pleasant and convenient environment for drivers. While high-power charging stations already exist in the suburbs, such as in Issy-les-Moulineaux, this station innovates by offering comprehensive services rarely available elsewhere. Users can enjoy a relaxation area with Wi-Fi, a shop, snacks, and other amenities.

This station fits into TotalEnergies’ ambitious strategy to establish 500 high-power sites in France by 2027, including 300 in urban or peri-urban areas. In Paris and its suburbs, electrification is progressing rapidly: in Île-de-France, nearly 50 stations are already equipped with high-power chargers, including five that are fully electric.

With this first electric station in the capital, TotalEnergies highlights a model tailored for urban electric vehicle use. It provides a concrete response to the specific needs of city dwellers, combining speed, comfort, and practicality, while reducing dependence on fossil fuels.
