Tesla Steps Up with 600 kW Ultra-Fast Chargers!
This page is translated from the original post "Tesla met le turbo avec ses chargeurs de 600 kW !" in French.

Charging your electric car will soon be faster than filling up your internal combustion engine vehicle. Tesla is working on that with its new generation of Superchargers V4.
Innovating to stay ahead. This is essentially the motto of American company Tesla, which can no longer be content with simply maintaining its lead over its main competitors.
On one hand, model updates are quite active, with the imminent facelift of the best-selling Tesla Model 3. But that’s not all. We are still awaiting more details about the upcoming $25,000 compact car promised for 2023, equipped with LFP batteries, and designed – if not produced – in China.
Not to mention a highly significant model for the American market: the Tesla Cybertruck. This impressive vehicle, measuring 5.90 meters in length, will be offered in three versions and could feature up to four electric motors. Its batteries could also allow it to reach up to 800 km of range! This is not yet science fiction, but close.
Precisely, to support increasingly larger batteries, a charging network must keep pace. In this regard, Tesla’s superchargers have already proven their worth. We are about to take a new step forward with the fourth generation, now installed in the Netherlands.
Goodbye competitors?
The manufacturer claims that these new stations support a voltage of 1,000 V and a current of 615 A. The charging speed could theoretically reach 600 kW, compared to the “meager” 250 kW of V3 superchargers. With this new technology, Tesla would surpass the ABB Terra 360 stations, which as their name indicates are rated for 360 kW.
The integration of these V4 superchargers also includes some technical improvements. Unlike previous models, whose cables were considered too short by users of non-Tesla vehicles, these new stations feature an extended cable.
