Recharge Lyon-Saint Exupéry

TotalEnergies will deploy over 800 electric charging points in the parking lots at Lyon-Saint Exupéry Airport.

TotalEnergies has won the bid from Lyon Airports for the installation, operation, and maintenance of more than 800 charging points for electric vehicles spread across all its parking areas. All charging points will be powered by renewable electricity, certified by guarantees of origin. The first installations are planned to be operational by the end of 2024.

This installation anticipates the objective set by the Mobility Orientation Law, which mandates that by January 1, 2025, existing parking areas must be equipped with electric charging stations. It will support the growth of the electric vehicle fleet in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region.

Charging stations adapted to traveling customers

As part of this 15-year contract, TotalEnergies will offer three types of charging options, suitable for all the needs of private and professional clients at Lyon-Saint Exupéry Airport and the surrounding area:

  • 770 slow charging points from 3.7 to 7 kVA
  • 28 fast charging points of 50 kW
  • 50 high-power charging stations of 200 to 300 kW

Among these charging points, nearly 80 will be specifically dedicated to airport staff. Additionally, to benefit from the decarbonization solutions implemented by VINCI Airports at Lyon Airport, non-users of the airport platform will have access to a high-power charging station at the A432 motorway exit, as well as high-power stations in the north and south waiting zones of the airport.
