Yespark’s goal: to offer a comprehensive range of long-term rental spots for electric cars.

Yespark has recently raised €28 million. The company specializing in parking space rentals plans to use this funding to develop an offer aimed at those who drive electric cars.

Although the situation is improving over time, the charging point network in France is not yet sufficiently developed to meet the growing number of electric vehicles. The Ministry of Transport and Ecological Transition set an ambitious target: to reach 100,000 charging points on the territory by 2021. In reviewing the results, about 50,000 charging points were missing. There are still many spots to be filled in the electric mobility ecosystem, and Yespark aims to take its share of the pie.

Italy also affected by Yespark’s expansion

Thanks to its funding round, the company aims to equip more than 30,000 parking spaces with electric chargers by 2025. However, this plan is not limited to major cities in France: Italian metropolises will also benefit. Parking spaces will be integrated into a long-term rental offer accessible through the Yespark platform.

The funds were obtained from Ring Capital, Sofiouest, Founders Future, and NEoT Green Mobility. The Banque des Territoires is also among the investors.

“Even as the automotive industry shifts toward all-electric vehicles and the government accelerates efforts, it is clear that charging infrastructure is not yet ready to accommodate such a large fleet in cities,” affirms Charles Pfister, co-founder and co-CEO of Yespark. According to him, 500,000 electric vehicles will be “without a home” by 2025, and this number will surpass one million by 2028.
