Toyota unveils the devilish GR GT!
With the new GR GT, Toyota GAZOO Racing showcases its most advanced vision of a race car homologated for the road.
The new Toyota GR GT does not seek to impress with the superfluous: it targets the essentials. Originally conceived as a race machine adapted for the road, it embodies the central philosophy of Toyota GAZOO Racing: to create cars born from competition, shaped by drivers, and capable of providing an experience that is as engaging as it is controlled.

Developed under the supervision of Akio Toyoda – alias Morizo – and refined by a team blending professional drivers and in-house engineers, the GR GT is built on three major foundations: an exceptionally low center of gravity, an ultra-lightweight and rigid structure, and a radical approach to aerodynamics.
A Fierce Hybrid
Under its hood lies a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 coupled with an electric powertrain. A hybrid system designed primarily for performance, with a target power of 650 hp and a torque of 850 Nm. But beyond the numbers, Toyota emphasizes the fusion between the driver and the machine: a lowered driving position, optimized weight distribution, and behavior designed to remain predictable even at the limits.

For the first time in its history, Toyota adopts a body structure entirely made of aluminum. This choice, combined with the use of CFRP and other composite materials, achieves impressive rigidity while controlling weight. This lightweight base becomes an ideal ground for aerodynamic work conducted through an inverted method: aerodynamic performance dictated the design, not the other way around.

Aerodynamic engineers and designers have worked hand in hand to create a silhouette optimized for airflow, cooling, and high-speed stability. Onboard, the approach remains true to the GR DNA: precise ergonomics, visibility tailored for sporty driving, and a cockpit designed as an extension of the driver.
