Renault Symbioz, the future hybrid SUV from the Diamond company

Austral, Rafale, and now Symbioz, the name chosen for Renault’s new compact SUV, which will be unveiled to the public in spring 2024.

The surprise is total: without warning, Renault revealed the first details of its future mid-sized family SUV, most likely the replacement for the Captur. Its name, Symbioz, is not unknown. It appeared in 2017 on a concept car at the Frankfurt Motor Show (Germany).

Symbioz stands out as the most compact SUV in the C segment at Renault, measuring 4.41 meters in length. This model features a range of advanced technologies specific to the brand, including a next-generation Solarbay panoramic sunroof that can automatically darken without the use of a shade. This technology first appeared on its larger sibling, the electric Scenic.

Additionally, it is equipped with a 145-horsepower E-Tech full hybrid powertrain, offering both a pleasant driving experience and optimized fuel consumption. No 100% electric powertrain here, as Renault aims not to put all its eggs in one basket.

By its name, Symbioz “symbolizes humans, progress, and life. Values that are very Renault!“, according to the Losange company. We would have been surprised if it were otherwise.

The successor to the Captur?

Inside, there is indeed a spacious, bright interior with large windows. In the revealed photo, the dashboard contours are difficult to see, but it appears to be close to the current Clio and therefore Captur.

The Renault Symbioz will be fully unveiled in the coming weeks. Until then, curiosity will only continue to grow.
