Alongside the MG3 Hybrid, the Chinese manufacturer will showcase at the Geneva Motor Show a brand new high-range sedan, the IM L6.
MG is it changing its approach? The manufacturer’s booth at Geneva (February 26 – March 3, 2024) will feature two entities: the historic MG brand, and a new small company called IM for Intelligent Mobility, which is more focused on Premium and advanced technologies. The idea is to further demonstrate its expertise in new technologies in the face of an unprecedented wave of new companies emerging from the tech sector like Xiaomi and Xpeng.
A model for the USA and Europe?
Even before diving into the details, MG is clear: this IM L6 will be “global”, meaning “worldwide”. Its presentation in Europe is no coincidence. It will be a 100% electric sedan, with a launch already scheduled for the Old Continent in 2025.
It’s understood from the hints that a complete lineup, including premium SUVs, will follow. Regarding the IM L6, MG guarantees WLTP-range autonomy that will vary from 600 to 800 km depending on the battery choice. Either Lithium-ion or Solid (later on).
Acceleration to 100 km/h will be achieved in less than 3 seconds. According to various leaks, power could range from 231 to 425 kW (313 to 577 hp).
The unveiling of the IM L6 will take place on Tuesday, February 26, 2026, at 10:30 AM, at the MG booth No. 4251, in Hall 4.
