Lotus scouting at the 24 Hours of Le Mans?

Lotus will be present as an exhibitor at the 24 Hours of Le Mans from June 12 to June 16, 2024. Prelude to a return to the track?

With a space of 200m2 and a brand new “mobile pop-up”, Lotus will showcase its entire range including the Hyper-SUV Eletre, the Hyper-GT Emeya, the sporty Emira, and the hypercar Evija. On this occasion, the new electrified road bike inspired by the track named Type 136 will also be presented to the public.

With this first participation as an exhibitor at the world’s largest automotive event, Lotus pays tribute to its prestigious competitive history and embraces its electric transition.

Lotus on four and two wheels

A surprise guest, even though the 24 Hours of Le Mans cycling competition exists, the Lotus Type 136 certainly attracts attention. This track-inspired electric road bike features an extremely lightweight e-bike motor, allowing cyclists to go further, faster, and higher. During this pre-Olympic period, what could be more natural! Produced in a limited series of 136 units, this bike adopts the key lines of the model developed for the British track cycling team at the Paris 2024 Olympics. Equipped with an HPS electric motor weighing just 1.2 kg, it boldly claims the title of the lightest e-bike in the world.

With this new event initiative, Lotus continues its international development following its roadmap called Vision80. Presented in 2018, it allows ten years to transform Lotus by 2028 to celebrate the brand’s 80th anniversary. While undertaking this strategic shift, Lotus draws on its heritage to perpetuate innovations and technological advances in the service of performance: all in a 100% electric format.
