Volvo teases its EM90 again in a video

In a video published on YouTube, the Swedish-founded brand teased the upcoming arrival of an electric minivan, the EM 90.

The video is only 30 seconds long and yet, it reveals a lot about what the next vehicle from the Swedish company will look like. The Volvo EM90 is Volvo’s very first electric minivan. In the press release, it states “Imagine a place in motion, where you can be yourself.”

The first images truly give the impression of having a lounge inside the minivan. Armchairs, a large table, these are what can be seen in the video. A model with a panoramic roof was featured in the video. The Volvo logo in uppercase will be present on the rear of the vehicle between the taillights.

A competitor to Zeekr 009

Both Volvo and Zeekr are part of the Geely group, so it can be assumed that the new Volvo minivan will be built on the same platform as Zeekr’s minivan. A 6-seater vehicle with a 140 kWh battery for a range of 511 miles, or 822 kilometers, with a total power of 536 hp. Stunning performance for a three-ton behemoth.

First reveal on November 12, 2023

The Volvo EM90 will have its world premiere on November 12th. On the same day, pre-orders will begin in China. Few details are available at the moment, but the brand assures that more information will be released in the coming months. The goal is to pique the curiosity of potential future buyers.
