Is it always wise to trust overly attractive promises? Thus, behind the claim of a Tesla Model Y at 299 euros per month, you need to read the terms and conditions.

First, you must consider that this offer is limited to stock vehicles, pre-configured ones. They are rare and available in the base version at 42,990 euros, benefiting from a 4,000 euro eco bonus that drops the price to 38,990 euros.

Next, the offer is a Leasing with Purchase Option (LOA) over 36 months and 10,000 kilometers per year. With the bonus, the initial payment drops from 10,150 euros to 6,150 euros, but it remains substantial.

Finally, in practice, the following 35 payments are 299.41 euros excluding insurance and optional services.

At the end of the lease, the customer can buy the car outright by paying a check of 24,504 euros, bringing the final price to 41,133.59 euros.

Should You Hurry?

The offer comes with many conditions: order between February 23 and March 17, 2024, and finance exclusively through Tesla’s partner bank… and subject to delivery before March 30, 2024, inclusive. The time window is very short, forcing quick decision-making without much deliberation.

If delivery is not accepted before this date, Tesla reserves the right to cancel the order, according to the contract!

The idea of not buying your electric car is already a sign of common sense. Electric technology evolves too quickly to commit long-term. 36 months is reasonable. Over this period, leasing this Tesla Model Y will cost about 16,600 euros, a very reasonable amount.
