The Renault R5 Gives in to Retro Fit Trend

After the legendary 4L, French specialist R-FIT is tackling another equally iconic model from the diamond brand, the R5.

Have you treasured your childhood Renault R5 and are frustrated that you can no longer use it daily? Now equipped with a homologated electric conversion kit, the R5 joins the exclusive club of vintage sustainable mobility.

Thanks to the development of its electric conversion activity of thermal cars, R-FIT is taking a new step in this field. The workshops have been working for several months on the development of a new kit to retrofit the legendary R5. The retrofit kit for the 4L has been available since January 2023, and the one dedicated to the Twingo 1 model will be soon.

This new partnership will be unveiled at the Lohéac Automobile Manor, which will host the 29th edition of its famous Autobrocante on October 7 and 8.

With more than 400 exhibitors offering spare parts, a sales-exhibition area, and demonstrations on a circuit, this weekend promises to be rich for all enthusiasts and aficionados. On this occasion, R-FIT will once again be present alongside The Originals Renault, the living collection preserved, maintained, and operated by Renault.
