The MG Cyberster Sets Foot in Europe
MG has confirmed the European technical specifications of its electric roadster Cyberster, which will go on sale in 2024.
The revival of the Geneva Motor Show is the major event for “passion” cars in Europe. And MG’s presence with its roadster Cyberster is certainly no coincidence.
The Swiss event is the perfect place to send a serious message to enthusiasts of premium cars, but also to competing manufacturers. Because with the Cyberster, MG is creating a segment that does not yet exist: that of the electric roadster.
Porsche will soon launch its Boxster, but in the meantime, MG has a clear path to push this idea forward with a deliberately exclusive 2-seater convertible. Butterfly doors, carbon fiber seat shells, exhilarating performance—everything is in place to make electric appealing to thrill-seekers and those who appreciate the sound of a traditional engine.

Two Technical Configurations in Europe?
MG has confirmed that the European version will offer a choice between two configurations: 2-wheel drive or 4-wheel drive. The latter will be the most powerful MG ever built, with 400 kW of power (544 horsepower) and 725 Nm of torque. 0 to 100 km/h will be achieved in 3.2 seconds.
The more affordable rear-wheel-drive version will already have 250 kW of power (340 horsepower) and 475 Nm of torque. It will reach 100 km/h in 5.2 seconds.
In terms of colors, European models will be available in the famous Metallic Bordeaux Dynamic, “New English” white, “Camden” gray, “Comic” silver (shown here), “Inca” yellow, and a more understated black.
As for pricing, leaks suggest it will be competitive with the current thermal reference, the BMW Z4, which has very similar performance. The price is expected to be around €45,000 excluding taxes plus local VAT. In France, this could translate to roughly €55,000.
The launch is imminent.
