The €99 per month offer on MG4 and MG5 condemned

MG made a big move by offering a social leasing at €99 per month on its MG4 and MG5. Due to the absence of the Green Bonus, the offer is coming to an end.

The offer of the car for less than 100 euros/month, as promised in its campaign program by Emmanuel Macron, is already a reality. Dacia and MG have already entered the market and do not hesitate to highlight it with catchy slogans like “Mr. President, we keep our promises” or “Some make promises, others keep them“. Still, they had to be careful not to upset the government too much, which responded by announcing the end of the Eco Bonus for everyone as of December 15. Eye for an eye, help for those who deserve it.

The Sino-British manufacturer MG offers its social leasing program on two 100% electric models: the compact sedan MG4 and the family station wagon MG5. This offer aims to meet the needs of families wishing to transition to more environmentally friendly mobility without being tied down by a credit.

Of course, this long-term rental offer (LLD) for 24 months is not available to all French customers, but only to low-income individuals meeting certain conditions: being a natural person with a taxable income per share less than or equal to €14,089. You must also be able to dispose of an eligible old car for the conversion bonus worth 2,500 euros (diesel with first registration before January 1, 2011, or petrol before January 1, 2006), and meet other eligibility criteria.

MG4 Standard, excluding options, at the catalog price of €29,990 including VAT, or MG5 Comfort 50 kWh, excluding options, at the catalog price of €32,990 including VAT, reduced to €28,490 including VAT.

• First rent of €9,500 reduced to €0 after €7,000 ecological bonus deduction (conditions apply – taxable income per share less than €14,089)

If you want to keep your vehicle longer, MG also offers this social leasing option over 48 months at €149/month. You might wonder, why pay more to drive an older car? MG is simply anticipating the upcoming change in the Green Bonus which is set to remove these generous benefits for its MG4 and MG5 by December 15, 2023! However, it is quite likely that such offers will continue to multiply, especially among European manufacturers who have not yet fully entered the game and are awaiting government decisions to launch their offers early 2024. Most importantly, who knows what the automotive world will look like in 2 years?
