Smart #1

At launch, the new Smart electric SUV will be offered in 4 versions. The most exuberant one boasts a power output of over 400 hp.

When Smart unveiled its electric SUV, everyone understood that the brand had made a serious upgrade in its market positioning following Chinese company Geely’s arrival at the capital. The announced prices confirm that this new positioning will also lead to a significant increase in prices.

In its base version and without options, the Smart #1 will already be sold for €39,990. Then, prices increase more or less significantly as you move up the range, finally reaching €47,490 (without options) for the Brabus.

A muscular Smart #1

Measuring 4.27 meters long, the Smart #1 is comparable in size to a Mini Countryman. It features a 66 kWh lithium nickel cobalt manganese battery. The range varies depending on the version: from 400 km on the Brabus, it rises to 440 km on the mid-range and launch edition. Surprisingly, the entry-level Pro+ is limited to 420 km.

The Smart #1 accepts up to 150 kW on DC fast charging, allowing from 10 to 80% recharge in about thirty minutes.

Except for the Brabus, all Smart #1 models are equipped with a single electric motor driving the rear wheels. Delivering 200 kW (272 hp) and 343 Nm of torque, it enables the vehicle to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.7 seconds.

The Brabus receives a second electric motor, providing all-wheel drive. Power and torque increase to 315 kW (428 hp) and 543 Nm respectively. The 0 to 100 km/h time drops to 3.9 seconds. The top speed, limited to 180 km/h, remains unchanged compared to other versions.

In France, the Smart #1 can be pre-ordered starting October 18. All four versions will be available from that date.
