Skoda Vision 7S: Here’s the Future 7-Seater Electric SUV
This page is translated from the original post "Skoda Vision 7S : voici le futur SUV électrique 7 places" in French.

Alongside a new identity and revised logo, the Czech automotive brand previews its big family electric SUV with the Skoda Vision 7S.
This Tuesday evening, Skoda kicked off the automotive events for the return of the season. Its conference in Prague was the venue for announcing a new identity: replacing the nearly century-old badge with a new logo, colors, and design. The style reflects the new concept car: the Skoda Vision 7S.
Space and (a bit of) recycled materials?
7S stands for 7 seats, making this vehicle a true family SUV with seven places. Skoda tames the design, which had recently become quite aggressive, drawing inspiration from Dacia. But its main focus is space, with a spacious interior for occupants. A baby seat can even fit on the central tunnel, visible to the driver via camera.

In an ideal autonomous mode — although we are still far from it — the electric SUV offers a “Relax” mode. In this mode, the dashboard advances, the 14.6-inch screen pivots to landscape, and the seats turn to face each other.
The brand focuses on recycled materials. This includes the floor using tires, some of the seats, or the door panels reusing polyester fiber, while the top of the dashboard is made of artificial leather.
Better ranges and faster charging to come?
The Vision 7S is also 100% electric. It shares the MEB platform from the Skoda Enyaq iV, as well as other VW group cousins: Volkswagen ID.4, Audi Q4 e-tron, or the Cupra Tavascan.

No word on the type of batteries, but with an 89 kWh capacity, the Skoda Vision 7S promises a range of 600 kilometers. Charging is also expected to be faster than today. While current models are limited to 150 kW, Skoda mentions less than 200 kW peak. Still far from segment leaders like Tesla at 250 kW, Hyundai and Kia EV6 at 239 kW. Even the BMW i4 without a dedicated platform reaches 210 kW.
When will a new Skoda electric appear?
Not immediately. The Skoda Enyaq iV will remain isolated for a long time, as the brand is focusing in 2023 on new combustion models like the Superb, Kodiaq, and the Octavia planned for 2024. It will only be in 2025 that the new Skoda electric city car will hit the roads, alongside VW ID.1 and Seat.

The Vision 7S will be part of the lineup, but with no specific date yet. The Czech manufacturer remains vague, announcing at best 2026 for its future electric models, including an all-new compact SUV. This vehicle is expected to face upcoming models like the Peugeot e-3008 or the cousin SUV of the Renault Mégane E-Tech.
Finally, in the longer term, Skoda aims for 70% of sales to be electric by 2030. The investment is estimated at 5.6 billion euros over the next five years.
