Renault Scenic E-Tech is the Car of the Year 2024

Expected by a French automotive industry shifting towards electric vehicles, the Renault Scenic E-Tech has been named European Car of the Year.

This is a well-deserved recognition for this new model, which has successfully broken away from the traditional monospaced design to establish a unique identity capable of competing with the best Chinese and American productions. Because in every aspect—pricing, equipment, or range—Renault has made a strong impression with its new electric model. This 100% electric vehicle, built on the AmpR medium platform, combines lightness (1890 kg), compactness (4.47 m long), and up to 625 km of WLTP range.

Available at a starting price below 40,000 euros, after government incentives, it is already available for order through the Renault online configurator.

After the first round of voting in November, Scenic was among the seven finalists: BMW 5-Series, BYD Seal, Kia EV9, Peugeot E-3008/3008, Renault Scenic, Toyota C-HR, and Volvo EX30.

The winner of the trophy was chosen by the votes of 58 automotive journalists from 22 countries. Scenic ranked first with 329 points. It becomes the seventh vehicle from the brand to receive the prestigious title “The Car of the Year,” succeeding Renault 16 (1966), Renault 9 (1982), Clio (1991), Scenic (1997), Mégane (2003), and Clio (2006).
