Pininfarina Battista

Pininfarina took advantage of an event in Dubai to unveil the final performance figures of the Battista. And they are impressive.

To quickly establish a name in the automotive industry, Automobili Pininfarina aimed to make an impact with a super-powerful fully electric supercar. The Battista — that’s its name — has the mission to become one of the most performance-oriented cars on the market. And based on the figures just announced at an event in Dubai, it seems the goal has been achieved.

With a 0 to 100 km/h time of precisely 1.86 seconds, and a 0 to 200 km/h in 4.75 seconds, the Battista confirms the tremendous acceleration potential of electric cars. According to Pininfarina, it also brakes very strongly, needing only 31 meters to go from 100 to 0 km/h. This is a record for an electric vehicle.

These performance figures have been used for the car’s homologation. The Battista’s technical sheet should therefore remain unchanged.

A Pininfarina Battista with nearly 500 km of range

This speed, Pininfarina owes to its four electric motors, which deliver a combined power of 1,900 hp and a torque of 2,340 Nm. But the importance of the Launch Control system should not be overlooked; without it, the car would have lost precious tenths during violent wheelspin at launch.

Since we’re talking numbers, also note that the Battista can reach a top speed of 350 km/h. Regarding range, Pininfarina promises 476 km in WLTP mixed cycle. A respectable value given its performance, achieved thanks to a massive 120 kWh battery.

Naturally, such a car is not intended for widespread distribution. Pininfarina has chosen to produce only 150 examples. Anyway, starting at a price of 2.2 million euros excluding tax, the Battista can truly only attract a handful of wealthy clients.
