The first 100% electric gas station in Brittany

Fastned paves the way with the first 100% electric service area that will be operational in France next year.

Fastned takes a significant step by winning the tender for the first service area entirely dedicated to electric charging in France. Located in Saint-Yvi, Brittany, this station symbolizes a turning point for zero-emission mobility and undoubtedly heralds a new generation of infrastructure that is set to multiply.

Situated along the RN 165, one of the most frequented routes in the region, this 100% electric area will offer six ultra-fast charging points of 400 kW, including one charging station specifically designed for trucks. Additionally, there will be a shop, restrooms, and even a landscaped garden, all of which reflect a simple reality: a charging station is also a place conducive to consumption, as the waiting time, even shortened by modern technologies, remains much longer than a simple fuel refill. Hence, it is crucial to design these spaces as true breaks, comfortable and attractive.

Brittany at the Electric Meeting Point

This project is not an isolated standout. Brittany has demonstrated a clear ambition for years: to accelerate the adoption of electric mobility. With nearly 95,000 electric vehicles on the road, the region exceeds the national average and confirms its role as a pilot territory.

For DIR Ouest, committed since 2011 to the sustainable modernization of its rest areas, the selection of Fastned aligns with a logic of continuous evolution. The European company will showcase its expertise here: 100% renewable energy, photovoltaic canopies, preservation of existing vegetation, and careful landscape integration.
