Energica Experia: An Electric Motorcycle for Adventure
This page is translated from the original post "Energica Experia : une moto électrique pour partir à l’aventure" in French.

With the new Experia, the electric motorcycle specialist Energica steps away from its original focus.
Until now, Energica was exclusively known for electric roadsters. But the Italian manufacturer clearly didn’t want to limit itself to just one category. With its new Experia, it will now try to appeal to trail enthusiasts!
Entirely new, the Experia’s engine is lighter than those used on other models from the brand. It is also positioned lower, ensuring better weight distribution. In terms of power, Energica promises 60 kW continuous and 75 kW at peak, which respectively translates to 82 and 102 horsepower. The torque peaks at 115 Nm.
Capable of reaching 180 km/h, the Experia won’t set speed records. However, its acceleration should be quite impressive. According to the manufacturer, it will only take 3.5 seconds to go from 0 to 100 km/h. The rider will have the choice between several riding modes and different energy recovery levels.

Over 400 km of range in the city
Also new, the 22.5 kWh battery can be charged from 20% to 80% in 40 minutes on a 24 kW charger. The range obviously varies depending on the travel profile: it rises to 420 km in urban areas but drops to 208 km on highways. In WMTC mixed cycle, it is expected to be around 222 km.
The Energica Experia weighs 260 kilograms. Its 17-inch wheels are fitted with Pirelli tires. Brakes are provided by Brembo, while the adjustable suspensions come from German specialist ZF Sachs.
With its top case and side cases, the motorcycle can carry up to 112 liters of luggage. It is equipped with heated grips, cruise control, and a 5-inch color screen.
The price of the new Experia has not been announced. However, Energica is already accepting pre-orders. The first customers are expected to be served this fall.
