The Polestar 2 Gets a Special Edition with 476 HP

Already formidable in its Dual Motor version, the Polestar gains even more horsepower with the arrival of a special edition “BST Edition 270”.
The family of the Polestar 2 is expanding, and the new addition is not here to entertain the crowd. The Polestar BST Edition 270 is indeed the most powerful version of the electric sedan to date. It is somewhat the successor to the performance-oriented prototype revealed a year ago, at the Goodwood Festival.
A gain of nearly 70 hp
The base for this new version is the Polestar 2 Long Range Dual Motor. The 78 kWh battery pack remains unchanged, but the electric motor now delivers 476 hp, an increase of 68 hp. The torque peaks at 680 Nm.
This vitamin boost is accompanied by modifications to the suspension. Lowered by 25 mm, the BST 270 features 20% stiffer springs and adjustable shock absorbers with two settings. Polestar has also equipped it with new Pirelli P Zero tires. Braking is handled by the Brembo 4-piston brakes already present on the standard Dual Motor model.
On the aesthetic side, the car can feature a matte-colored stripe if the customer desires. The mirrors are painted black. The gold details typical of Polestar 2 with the Performance Pack have been preserved.

A limited edition
Like other Polestar 2 models, the BST Edition 270 will be assembled in China, at the Chengdu plant. Production will be limited to 270 units, distributed between the United States and Europe. France, however, will be left out. In conflict with Citroën over a logo controversy deemed too similar, Polestar has yet to establish itself in France.
