Xiaomi Electric Scooter 4 Pro: New Star Electric Scooter?

Very popular, Xiaomi electric scooters welcome the Electric Scooter 4 Pro, a new generation that is more powerful and durable.

Large electronics company, the Chinese group Xiaomi revealed many products of all kinds on June 21, 2022. In addition to tablets, TVs, and smartwatches, the product we are interested in here is the Electric Scooter 4 Pro.

More powerful motor and +50% range

The major evolution of this fourth generation of Xiaomi electric scooter is the motor. Still integrated into the front wheel, it now offers 700 W peak, compared to 600 W previously. According to the brand, this still allows the device to handle slopes of 20%. The Mi Scooter 4 maintains the regulated maximum speed of 25 km/h, but does not indicate pedestrian modes (5 km/h) or at 20 km/h.

The battery is said to have a capacity of 12400 mAh or 446 Wh, the same as the Electric Pro 2, and greater than that of the Mi Scooter 3 with 7,650 mAh (275 Wh). It remains below other competitors such as the Niu KQI3 Pro (486 Wh) or the Ninebot G30 (551 Wh). The range of the Chinese scooter therefore still promises 45 km, at a constant 15 km/h.

An improved screen interface

Visually, the Scooter 4 Pro is barely distinguishable from the Pro 2 or Mi Scooter 3, except for the deck which makes the battery almost invisible. The changes are mainly technical, with Xiaomi citing an aluminum structure allowing for more weight. Exact figures are not yet available, but the outgoing model weighed 13 kg.

Comfort is also improved thanks to 10-inch tires, up from 8.5 inches on the previous model. The manufacturer has also optimized the electric scooter’s display, including a magnetic charging port.

Significant price increase for the Xiaomi Electric Scooter Pro

With its new features, especially the motor and 10-inch wheels, the electric scooter offers a rewarding experience. Priced at launch at 649 euros, the Xiaomi Electric Scooter 4 Pro is 150 euros more expensive. The previous model, Electric Scooter Pro 2, is currently listed on the website at 549 euros.

Confirmation of availability in France is pending, as the device is not yet listed on the official website.
