Davinci DC100: The Big Cube of Electric Motorcycles
This page is translated from the original post "Davinci DC100 : le gros cube des motos électriques" in French.

The name is misleading: Davinci Motor has nothing to do with Italy. This company, founded in 2013, is actually based in China. With the DC100, it claims to have developed an electric motorcycle as powerful as a large combustion engine.
Directly integrated into the rear wheel, the electric motor of the DC100 delivers 100 kW, or about 135 hp. The torque peaks at 850 Nm. Performance is quite impressive, with a 0 to 100 km/h acceleration in around 3 seconds and a top speed of 200 km/h.
The range would be far from negligible, despite the sporty nature of the bike. Davinci quotes a figure of 357 km (WLTP mixed cycle), which will probably be difficult to achieve in real-world conditions. A quick charge at a fast charger would take about thirty minutes.
The Davinci DC100 has neither a speedometer nor a TFT screen. All controls are managed via a smartphone, which is mounted on the inductive charger at the center of the handlebar. A dedicated app allows access to all essential information (remaining range, speed, navigation, etc.).

Driving aids to channel the DC 100’s exuberance
The Chinese motorcycle is equipped with several driving aids, some of which recall the automotive world. Like cars with automatic transmissions, the DC100 automatically moves forward as soon as the rider releases the brake, up to a speed of 7 km/h. It also features assistance for hill starts, ABS, traction control, and a reverse assist system.
The DC100 will make its European debut at EICMA in Milan, which runs from November 8 to 13. Davinci has not yet announced the launch date. There is also some uncertainty around the price, which is expected to be around €26,000.
