DRAGSTER#e01 Electric

Are you craving an electric scooter with a muscular look? The new Dragster #e01 is sure to catch your interest!

Italjet showcased a major new release at the EICMA show: the Dragster #e01. Very similar visually to the already marketed thermal Dragster, this electric model targets enthusiasts of eccentricity… and performance! With a 0 to 50 km/h acceleration in 2.9 seconds, the Dragster #e01 promises particularly brisk acceleration. A BMW CE 04 A1 is indeed faster off the line, but by a narrow margin (-0.2 seconds).

Capable of reaching 110 km/h top speed, the Italian scooter is powered by a 6 kW motor. The peak power can reach 12 kW, and torque at the wheels can hit 360 Nm.

Electricity is stored in a 4.91 kWh battery, offering a range of 180 km in the city and 90 km on fast roads. Charging time from 0 to 100% is estimated at 5 hours and 30 minutes with the standard onboard charger of 1 kW. It drops to less than 40 minutes with the optional 10 kW onboard charger.

In terms of chassis, the Dragster #e01 stays true to its mono-arm front fork and adjustable central shocks both at the front and rear. The 200 mm front and 190 mm rear discs are clamped by Brembo calipers. With its ABS system and traction control, the Italian scooter is likely to hide a rather civilized character behind its rough appearance.

See you in 2023

Based on the announced figures, the Dragster #e01 is expected to be homologated in the 125 cc equivalent category. The commercial launch is scheduled for the second half of 2023, and Italjet has not found it necessary to disclose the price at this stage. However, since the thermal version is not particularly affordable (over €6,000 for the base model), there’s no reason to expect that the electric version will be especially competitively priced.
