OuiGo Trains: a special 48-hour offer to travel cheaper in January

For two days, Ouigo train fares will have a maximum price of €19 across France, but not on all trains and only in January.

The past few months have not favored more affordable mobility. Inflation has affected public transportation, whether it’s the Navigo Pass in Île-de-France or TGVs across France. Fortunately, SNCF stated that Ouigo trains would not see a price increase. Even better, a special “Frozen Prices” offer will take place on January 10 and 11. It applies a maximum price of €19 on Ouigo lines, but there is a catch.

What routes are discounted?

The train company stated that tickets purchased with a discount only concern trips between January 11 and January 31, 2023. All 50 destinations (and more) it offers are included in this offer, whether on Ouigo Classic Train (slow) or High Speed (equivalent to TGV Inoui).

However, this is only true with a minimum of “one train per day”. So be careful: a train at 10 a.m. may cost €19, but be much more expensive in the afternoon. Another condition to get a significant discount is that fares apply only to one-way tickets, not round trips. Nevertheless, you can play with the dates to buy a one-way ticket at the lowest price and a second return ticket also at a good rate, but still in January.

Where can you take advantage of Ouigo discounts?

You will need to visit various sales platforms, but only on January 10 and 11, 2023. The first option is the Ouigo mobile app, available on iPhone (Apple Store) or Android (Google Play).
