Tutorial: Installing an Individual Charging Station in Your Co-Ownership (Video)

With our partner Roole, here are the steps to follow to install an individual charging station in your parking space within a co-ownership.

The right to plug-in access is THE main obstacle to the adoption of electric vehicles in cities. It is even quite ironic: while reducing pollution would be most beneficial within city centers, it is actually in rural areas that electric cars are most popular. The reason being, easy access to an electrical outlet for those owning a house or a property with a garage.

When living in an apartment building, with a parking space (outdoor or underground), the situation quickly becomes more complicated, and obtaining approval from co-owners takes longer. Administrative phobias are forbidden, even though things have greatly simplified in recent years.

Indeed, since January 1, 2021, a government decree states that the right to plug in is the same for everyone, whether owner or tenant. The only difference is that this installation will be at one’s own expense.

• Expressing the request to the owner and/or the property manager via letter with return receipt, accompanied by a quote from an authorized recharge infrastructure installer.
• Notification to the general assembly without the need for a vote. The approval is automatic
