The symbol of public transportation in the Île-de-France region, the Pass Navigo, enables travelers to access the network through a subscription. What many may not know is that the Pass grants access to certain cultural venues such as museums, theaters, and exhibitions either free of charge or at reduced prices.

Indeed, since the beginning of 2022, the Île-de-France Mobilités company has introduced special offers, benefits, and discount vouchers for many Parisian sites. To summarize, four elements are included in these transportation discounts:

• Free bicycle parking subscription
• Free Park & Ride parking subscription
• Carpooling offered once a month
• Facilitated carsharing

Be aware that, as with cultural discounts, these are subject to certain conditions. To qualify for free parking at Park & Ride facilities, you must hold a yearly Pass Navigo, an Imagine R card (for those over 18), or a Senior Rate Pass Navigo. At least 10 parking sessions per month are required.

The conditions for using the Île-de-France Mobilités bike-sharing program are also strict: you need an annual subscription, with Senior, school Imagine R, or student Imagine R rates to benefit from free access.

The carpooling service is operated via the Île-de-France Mobilités app under the “carpooling” tab. By logging in through the app, you will see available offers in partnership with the regional public transport authority. Once your ride is booked, if it is your first ride of the month, the trip is complimentary. The driver will be compensated by Île-de-France Mobilités.
