Navigo Pass: Your Refund is Available

Starting today and until August 2, 2023, you can get reimbursed for part of your Navigo pass. The reason for the reimbursement, the strikes at the beginning of this year.

Users of Parisian transportation can be reimbursed in several cases. The first, when train and RER punctuality has been below 80% for at least three months in the year. The second, you can get reimbursed in case of long strikes. Finally, the last, in case of exceptional accidents that severely disrupted your travel. These rules come from an agreement between Île-de-France and transportation operators. 

Who can benefit from it? 

A new contract allows a reimbursement of one thirtieth of the price if your line had an availability rate below 33%. “A minimum refund of €10 will be applied for Navigo Monthly or Yearly passes across all zones, for residents, workers, or students in municipalities served outside Paris by the lines operated by Transilien SNCF Voyageurs and impacted by the strike for 1, 2, or 3 days. For other eligible passes, the amount will be calculated proportionally and according to zones,” the statement reads. 

“For subscribers impacted 4 days or more, the contract will be applied: Transilien SNCF Voyageurs refunds €2.80 per strike day for a Navigo Monthly or Yearly pass across all zones.”. “For a Navigo Monthly or Yearly pass across all zones, the reimbursement will therefore range between €21.20 and €94, depending on the branches. For other eligible passes, the amount will be calculated proportionally and according to zones.”. You can now check if you are eligible or not, to take advantage of this reimbursement offer. 

Which lines are covered by the reimbursement? 

It should be noted that no metro line is eligible for the reimbursement offer, nor tram lines. Only RER and Transilien lines are concerned. Among them, RER lines C, D, and E, and for Transilien, the lines: H, J, K, L, N, P, and R. 

The site specifies that only one reimbursement is available per person and that you must have paid for a subscription during the strike months.
