Update: List of Models Eligible for the Eco Bonus
This page is translated from the original post "Mise à jour : Liste des modèles éligibles au Bonus Écologique" in French.

The government unveiled the first list of models eligible for the Ecological Bonus on December 15, 2023.
It was known that several hundred applications had been submitted by manufacturers on the dedicated Ademe platform. While some had no doubt about the eligibility of their models produced in Europe and/or lightweight enough, others were well prepared to try their luck.
No surprise, two major sales stars are excluded: the Dacia Spring and the MG MG4, imported from China. MG admitted they didn’t even bother to submit applications, knowing full well that no model qualified for the Ademe criteria.
The Tesla Model Y is included thanks to its production at the German Gigafactory in Berlin, but not the Model 3. A minor setback for the manufacturer… and its competitors!
Besides French manufacturers, if we must point out a big winner, it’s Volkswagen, which sees its three models ID.3, ID.4, and ID.5 maintain their advantage. A nice boost for these cars that are struggling commercially.
Don’t be surprised not to find the Citroën ë-C3 or the Renault 5 on this list. The list only includes vehicles currently available for sale and is expected to grow to include new models as the automotive market evolves.
