Volvo EX90

Launched at the end of 2022, Volvo’s all-electric flagship, the EX90, is expanding its lineup with the introduction of new entry-level trims.

Until now, it was only possible to order the future Volvo EX90 in the high Ultra trim, with two all-electric all-wheel-drive motor options: Twin (408 hp) or Twin Performance (517 hp), and in a 7-seater configuration.

Now, Volvo offers several trim levels with the introduction of the Start and Plus versions. Starting with the entry-level Start, the Volvo EX90 includes all the new advanced safety features announced at its launch: Intelligent Collision Anticipation System (Space Safe Technology), Driver Understanding System (SCC), and Occupant Detection System (SDO).

A new “Single” powertrain of 279 hp (205 kW) will debut with the Volvo EX90. Paired with a 104 kWh battery, the Volvo EX90 Single can travel up to 580 km (WLTP mixed cycle, pending homologation). Regarding charging, the Volvo EX90 Single accepts up to 11kW AC and 250 kW DC. This powertrain complements the existing AWD options: Twin & Twin Performance.

Additionally, the Volvo EX90 offers a new “6-seater” configuration alongside the “7-seater” on the Ultra trim, at no extra cost. The “6-seater” configuration features 2 seats in the second row instead of 3. In this new setup, the two seats in the second row are designed to be even more comfortable, with supportive and enveloping cushions thanks to side bolsters and increased surface area. The absence of a central seat allows direct and easy access to the third row, which remains electrically foldable.
