Price drop on Volkswagen’s electric lineup

Volkswagen is undergoing a complete overhaul of its ID. range by introducing a new entry-level trim “ID.“

This “ID.” trim allows the ID.3, ID.4, and ID.5, all eligible for the Ecological Bonus, to offer a more attractive starting price. It comes standard with essential equipment while ensuring the ID. range remains more affordable compared to 2023. This new trim includes as standard, depending on the model, key features such as a 12.9-inch infotainment screen with wireless App-Connect, on ID.4 and ID.5, the new ID. Software 4.0 introduced on ID.7, Keyless Go keyless ignition, adaptive cruise control ACC and Lane Assist, Park Pilot, LED headlamps, or alloy wheels.

The ID.3 Pro (58 kWh) in the entry-level “ID.” finish now has a starting price of 39,990 euros. An attractive price, but it should be noted that for an additional 1,000 euros, the fully equipped “Life Max” trim adds to the “ID.” finish of the ID.3 Pro:

• The Assistance Pack including rearview camera, Keyless Access, and Park Assist,
• The Comfort Pack with navigation system, dual-zone climate control, and heated steering wheel and front seats,
• The Exterior Pack with IQ. Light Matrix LED headlights and tinted rear windows,
• 18’’ ‘East Derry’ alloy wheels,
• metallic paint.

In long-term rental, the ID.3 Pro in Life Max trim is priced at 279 euros per month.

The ID.4 Pure 170 paired with the 52 kWh battery in the entry-level “ID.” trim costs from 43,990 euros, excluding the 2024 Ecological Bonus.

There is no small-battery version for the ID.5, whose range starts with the ID.5 Pro 286 in the “ID.” entry-level trim at a price of 50,500 euros. Volkswagen specifies that attractive commercial offers are planned to bring the ID.5 Pro 286 below the 47,000 euro threshold and thus qualify for the 2024 ecological bonus. So don’t rush, the good fruit has not yet fallen from the tree.
