An Audi Q8 e-tron Designed for Dakar!

The Audi Q8 e-tron Dakar edition draws inspiration from the world’s largest Rally Raid and dreams of vast open spaces and adventure.

On the outside, the raised chassis of the limited edition model and optional stickers recall the Audi RS Q e-tron designed for the Dakar Rally, equipped with an electric propulsion system and an energy converter. The off-road capabilities of this exclusive SUV, combined with its high and immediately available torque, are perfect for adventurers who also want to drive electrically off the beaten path. The Audi Q8 e-tron Dakar edition will be available for order from the first quarter of 2024. In France, only 20 units will be available, and prices will start at 128,400 euros.

The Audi Q8 e-tron Dakar edition is based on an Audi Q8 advanced 55 e-tron quattro equipped with a 106 kWh battery. The quattro transmission, with its two motors, provides 300 kW in boost mode for a torque of 664 Nm. This means the vehicle accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.8 seconds with the standard tires. With all-terrain General Grabber AT3 tires, this model reaches 100 km/h in 5.9 seconds. The range according to WLTP standards is 487 kilometers. The maximum speed is intentionally limited to 200 km/h.

Compared to the base model, the electric SUV equipped with all-terrain tires has an increased ground clearance of 31 millimeters, going from 206 millimeters to 237. At high speeds, the vehicle gradually lowers by 15 millimeters at 85 km/h, 17 millimeters at 100 km/h, and 13 millimeters at 120 km/h. This helps optimize high-speed stability and improve aerodynamics and range. With a approach angle of 20 degrees at the front and 26 degrees at the rear, the electric SUV is well prepared to tackle light off-road terrains. The vehicle’s ramp angle is 19 degrees.

The air suspension has also been revised to meet typical off-road driving requirements. The Audi Q8 e-tron Dakar edition can venture into water crossings up to 300 mm deep.
