Tesla Supercharger Blockade as a Strike Tactic?

Every day its episode in the great melodrama unfolding between Tesla and the Swedish union.

Tesla’s Superchargers are now the latest target in the conflict in Sweden. A union responsible for maintenance, planning, construction, and connection of electric vehicle chargers announced it will cease all operations starting March 4 on these valuable stations.

Seko, the Swedish union of service and communication workers, announced an act of solidarity with other unions currently in conflict with the American automaker over a collective agreement. Other unions in the region have already taken similar measures, and unfortunately, it seems that more and more organizations continue to pressure Tesla to sign a collective agreement covering 90% of all employees in Sweden. This anti-Tesla alliance includes sectors as diverse as waste collection, mail picking and delivery, as well as port operations related to the transport and delivery of Teslas.

Targeting broadly to reach Tesla

Today, Tesla’s Superchargers are the main energy source for electric cars in the country. The domestic charging network is fairly developed, but using white stations is an essential step during long journeys. Especially since Sweden is one of the countries where Tesla allows electric vehicles from other brands to use its Superchargers.
