VINCI has chosen Zunder

The ambitious Spanish company Zunder continues its expansion from Southern Europe and is making its way onto French motorways.

Following a tender process by VINCI Autoroutes, Zunder was selected for the construction and operation of three new electric vehicle charging stations, fully powered by green energy, at the following Cofiroute network service areas:

• Val-de-Cher Rest Area (Indre-et-Loire): accessible from the A85 in both directions, the station currently offers 25 charging points with a maximum power of 400 kW, sheltered by a photovoltaic canopy. Fifteen additional charging points will be deployed by 2031.
• Sarthe-Touraine Rest Area (Sarthe): accessible from the A28 in both directions and includes 2 charging points.
• Bourges-Marmagne Rest Area (Cher): located on the A71 towards Orléans, this station currently has 25 charging points with a maximum power of 400 kW out of the 40 that will be deployed by 2031. It is protected by a photovoltaic canopy.

Zunder Establishes Its Roots in France

Zunder has been present in France for over a year now, following the inauguration of its first ultra-fast charging station in France at the Pays d’Argentan Rest Area, in Orne, consisting of 12 Kempower and Ingeteam charging stations.

In 2024, development will continue with new charging stations, fully powered by green energy, soon to be announced in Centre-Val de Loire and Pays de la Loire. The international growth plan for 2023 includes deployments in France and Portugal. Other European countries, including Italy, are also part of the roadmap for 2024.
